PROTEIOS is the first laboratory to obtain the official attest for Heubach testing in Europe!

On September 23rd 2010 Proteios became the first laboratory in Europe to be audited by SGS, Switzerland and to obtain the official attest for Heubach Dust-off testing in accordance with the EU Code of Practice – Monitoring Floating Dust in Treated seeds –STISSC (Seed Treatment Stewardship Steering Committee) version 01 – May 2010!

Environmental restrictions and legislation which will come into effect in 2010/2011 demand adequate handling of seeds in such a way that the amount of free floating dust from treated seeds is kept to a minimum. With the official attest the high quality PROTEIOS laboratory is the first laboratory which is fully equipped and qualified to perform the critical analytical Heubach test to help control dust-off.

Quality control has high priority at Proteios. In August last year Proteios obtained ISO certification and the recent audit and accreditation is further evidence of the high standards which are maintained within the company.

Proteios International, member of the INCOTEC Group, is an independent laboratory. Besides Heubach testing Proteios provides a range of analytical services to the seed industry including HPLC loading analysis on seed batches, genetic quality control and breeding assistance using molecular markers and DNA analyses for e.g. identification of disease resistance, GMO-testing and variety identification.
