Analytical services
The Business Area Analytical Services offers breeding assistance, genetic QC testing, GMO testing and genotyping. We also produce high definition polyacrylamide or agarose gels for ultra thin layer iso-electric focusing for external and in-house use. HPLC testing of coated seeds for seed loading and seed to seed distribution is offered.
With years of experience we are a respected and qualified partner for breeder producer companies providing a wide base of molecular services. We offer various routine analytical and molecular tests for almost any purpose ranging from genepool to commercial varieties. Furthermore, integrated quality tests are available for in vitro cultures, multiplication of bulbs or cut plants, hybrid production, seeds or parental material. With our experience and know-how we can assist you in obtaining more insight into the genetic diversity of your germ plasm or optimizing your breeding program. Our breeding assistance extends to Marker Assisted Selection (MAS) as well as Marker Assisted Breeding (MAB). We provide a genotyping service supported by various molecular platforms, through service and comunication we will help you understand and implement the informaiton gained through these analysis.
Our ISO accredited laboratory is able to assist with reliable tests for almost all commercially available GMO events. We are able to qualify and quantify the presence of GMO traits. We are registerd to issue GMO-free certificates required to export or import grain and grain based products. Through our global position and representation in 13 major countries, we are not only informed about new and upcoming events, but we are also well aware of differences in regional legislation/registration and other issues.
Seed treatment with plant protection products (PPP) is a novel way for seed companies to protect their grain integrity during the earlier phases of germination and growth. Incorrect application of PPPs on seed lots may lead to poor germination and physiological disorders when overdosed, or to field infestations or disease infections and eventual crop loss when underdosed.
As with many other quality norms such as purity and germination, several countries already require the labelling of treated seed lots with the applied PPPs. We offer an HPLC service to assist you to comply with these regulations.
We encourage personal consultations to offer a one stop solution to all you analytical needs.
Through the INCOTEC® Business Area Analytical Services, we will continue to offer analytical services to the seed industry.
