Category Manager

Your challenge 

As Category Manager (indirect spend & capex), you are responsible for managing the strategic and tactical acquisition of indirect procurement categories at optimal cost and conditions. Together with internal stakeholders, you draw up the plan of requirements. You search for suitable suppliers, perform risk assessments and draft agreements. In addition, you organise framework agreements and monitor departments for correct execution of the ordering function. You work closely with the Assistant Category Buyer (0.73 FTE) and both report to the Manager Finance.

You are

You level of work and thinking is HBO with Nevi 1 & Nevi 2. You are meticulous in identifying risks and firm in defending opinions. You communicate clearly in both Dutch and English. You are analytical, have a clear insight into procurement processes and enjoy taking the initiative. You can work both independently and in a team. You are enthusiastic and feel responsible for your own tasks, but are also willing to help your colleagues.
