Incotec is long-time supporter of Pisa in Hoorn and recently made a donation to this warm and hospitable home for people with cancer, their relatives and next of kin. This was part of the money that was released when the so-called Social Fund was discontinued. The balance remaining of this fund has been distributed to a number of charities, including Pisa. To this end, Incotec's Niels Overvliet, manager of the Social Fund, visited the Draafsingel in Hoorn in person and was most warmly welcomed by Pisa coordinator Wiek Luza, who was very happy with both the donations and the accompanying flowers. Wiek Luza: "During the first lockdown it became all too clear what Pisa means to our visitors. That is why it is so important that Pisa's doors always remain open. Pisa has been hit hard financially by the corona crisis. We are dependent on donors, funds, grants and donations. But also on the proceeds from various events, which could not take place this year because of corona. As a result, we are missing out on a substantial amount of income. We are therefore participating in the KWF (Dutch Cancer Society) action Huis in Actie (House in Action), in which the KWF is committed to helping drop-in houses to raise funds themselves. We are really very happy with the spontaneous donation from Incotec".
