Microplastiques dans le traitement de semences
There is growing global concern on the topic of microplastics in seed treatment, with countless publications in both the scientific community and general press. Although seed treatment accounts for only a small fraction of microplastics in the environment, our industry will have to play its part in reducing the environmental impact of microplastics.
At Incotec we are prepared. We have made it our mission to supply customers with the most sustainable solutions, not because of changing legislation, but because we are committed to helping feed a growing population in the most sustainable way and with minimal environmental impact. That is why we have been working on microplastic-free coatings and the first of these new coatings will soon be available.
If you would like to be informed as soon as the first microplastic-free products are available, or participate in the validation phase of prototype products, contact us: email@example.com
What are microplastics?
Microplastics are particles of insoluble macromolecular polymer between 1 nanometre and 5 mm. The issues around plastic litter are often confused with the issues surrounding microplastics but, although they are different, that’s not what matters. In public perception, the negative issues related to one also become associated with the other. For the general public, and often even for policy makers, it’s simple: plastics are a problem.
