And for growers of modern broadacre hybrid seeds — such as canola, barley, sorghum, and wheat, the stakes are high.

Direct seed application of fungicide & insecticide layers shield emerging seedlings from pests and disease and is far more targeted than other methods. Applying these products integrated in a seed coating reduces the amount of active needed dramatically and our special polymers keep the active contained. This is better for both the environment and for anyone handling the seeds.

When top soil is starved of nutrients, the seeds and seedlings need extra nutrition. Micronutrients are integrated into a seed coating and applied directly to the seed supply that nutrition. Improving the plant's early vigor leads to stronger root systems and higher yield potential providing a kick-start for a healthy crop.

Disco film coats are formulated to improve the flowability of the treated seeds. The reduced friction in delivery tubes allows a consistent seeding rate, even at elevated tractor speeds, minimising skips and doubles. This, in turn, provides the optimal conditions for precision planting. Seeds are sown at precisely the right depth and distance from each other - no competition for making optimal use of the available area and avoiding any competition between seeds and seedlings for moisture or resources in the soil. This result is a more uniform and complete field emergence.
