Ten trees for years of collaboration with Rijk Zwaan

Incotec presented Rijk Zwaan with ten trees to mark its 100th anniversary: one tree for each decade. The three Italian poplars and seven pollard willows were planted in the spring when the garden of Rijk Zwaan's new Seed Connect Centre (SCC) was laid out. On September 16 there was a small gathering to mark the gift, which is now growing nicely in the courtyard garden.

A sign has been placed next to the poplars and pollard willows in the SCC garden to indicate that they are from Incotec.
“Incotec wanted to give a lasting, green, and sustainable gift. With the construction of the new SCC building in full swing last year during the anniversary period, Incotec quickly came up with the idea of giving trees as a gift,” says Matthijs van Dijk, Supply Manager, Rijk Zwaan.

Matthijs placed the sign together with Carla Nijman (Research Manager Seed Technology) and Tom Post (Team Lead Supply) from Rijk Zwaan and John Braas (Account Manager), Huib Koerts (Sales Manager EMEA) and Niels Overvliet (R&D Team Lead) from Incotec.

Decades together
Matthijs: “Improving the quality of seed technology and sowability. These shared goals are why we seek cooperation with Incotec. Rijk Zwaan has been working with Incotec for decades. The sign makes this long-standing collaboration tangible.”
