Students visit Incotec on Girls' Day
No fewer than 26 students from RSG secondary school in Enkhuizen visited Incotec on Girls’ Day. Not only did they get to see how seed quality is improved, but they also had the chance to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on. During Girls’ Day on April 14, 2026, companies across the Netherlands opened their doors to introduce girls aged 10 to 15 to science, technology, and IT. Incotec seized this opportunity to show the roles available to girls and women in production, engineering, management, and research.
From coating corn and sunflower seeds in a bag themselves to determining which seed is actually in which pill and what it’s used for, the morning was packed with various activities.
Girls’ Day can give girls a different perspective on careers in engineering, STEM, or IT, allowing them to make an informed choice about their future path. This way, they can prepare for the steps they’ll take and the hurdles they may need to overcome.
