Incotec lecture on AI transforming seed treatment

During the Seed meets Technology trade fair in Zwaagdijk (23-25 September), Incotec gave a lecture on the impact of AI and digitisation on seed enhancement and seed treatment on Tuesday 23 September at 11:00 a.m. The presentation was given by Incotec's Marta Dobrowolska-Haywood (Head of Data Science and Knowledge Management) and Sander Willemse (Process Development Manager) and was free of charge for visitors to the fair.

The focus of the lecture was on how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are modernising seed treatment. Seed treatment and enhancement play a crucial role in agricultural productivity. This ranges from ensuring the best germination to better plant emergence in the field or greenhouse.

What does digitisation mean for the operational side of seed treatment and what examples do we see in practice? What is AI already doing for seed coating or improving priming (pre-germination) and seed selection? What trends can we expect in the future? These topics and more were covered in the Incotec lecture during Seed meets Technology.
